The McHenry Vipers U12 Boys are excited to represent their hometown of McHenry, Illinois in the 2013 Schwan's USA CUP. This will be their first trip to the tournament and the team can not wait to get to Blaien and participate in opening ceremonies, meet other soccer players from around the world, and participate in some of the many fun activities being offered at the tournament.
The players are members of the McHenry Soccer club, a non-profit, volunteer-based organization promoting teamwork, perseverance, confidence and good sportsmanship. The boys represent McHenry Soccer well both on and off the field and the club is proud to have their U12 Boys Vipers team representing them at USA CUP.
The boys’ spring season is currently underway and the team is practicing twice a week, with games on the weekends. The team is also participating in a three-day soccer tournament being held at the end of May. Once spring season ends, the boys will be practicing again to get ready for USA CUP. Some of the players will be attending an intensive skills development camp shortly before they leave for Minnesota.
Some of the boys have older brothers who participated two years ago in the tournament in the same age bracket so they know what an amazing opportunity it is and have been sharing that with the rest of their team. Now, the whole team is fired up and can’t wait to get to USA CUP
